For the second year in a row, RI schools took part in a fundraiser and awareness
campaign to support the RI Red Cross. This year's fundraiser coincided with Fire Safety Week, October 3-9, 2004.
October is Fire Safety Month and local Red Cross representatives spoke to students
throughout RI, educating them on fire safety and the work of the RI Red Cross in their community. Students collected spare change to donate to the RI Red Cross so
that they may continue to provide emergency food, shelter and clothing to families who lost their home in a fire.
