RI Red Cross assisting Charlestown residents
displaced by morning fire
American Red Cross of Rhode Island volunteers responded to a fire Wednesday morning at 19 & 21
Fox Trot Drive in Charlestown. Two families were affected – a total of 4 adults and 2 children. The RI Red Cross is providing both families with food, clothing, shelter, and pharmaceutical assistance.
The Red Cross of Rhode Island typically spends $1,000 per family of four that it assists. All Red Cross assistance is free,
thanks to contributions from individuals and organizations. The Red Cross is not a government agency and relies on private donations to provide emergency assistance to Rhode Islanders in crisis.
