RI Red Cross volunteers assisting with search for
missing Scituate man
Red Cross of Rhode Island volunteers are assisting with the search for 67-year old Bob Cunniff in
Scituate, RI. Cunniff never returned home from a walk Tuesday afternoon. RI Red Cross volunteers are on scene at Potterville Fire Station in Scituate,
where they have teamed up with the Salvation Army Canteen Truck. Together, they are feeding more than 150 rescue volunteers involved in the search effort.
The Red Cross is also providing cots and blankets to search personnel.
The Red Cross of Rhode Island typically spends $1,000 per family of four that it assists. All Red Cross assistance is free,
thanks to contributions from individuals and organizations. The Red Cross is not a government agency and relies on private donations to provide emergency assistance to Rhode Islanders in crisis.
