Red Cross Assists at Pawtucket Fire on Easter Sunday -- Five Families Receive Assistance

American Red Cross of Rhode Island disaster volunteers were called to the scene of a fire yesterday, Sunday, around 2:30pm, at 45 Patt Street in Pawtucket.

Five families --- a total of 10 adults and one infant --- required assistance from the Red Cross. All five families received hotel lodging and meals.

One of the families also received vouchers for clothing, as well as diapers and formula for an infant.

This is the 85th incident Red Cross volunteers have responded to in 2003. Over 500 Rhode Islanders have received Red Cross assistance. For more information, visit www.riredcross.org.
