RI Red Cross assisting 15 Central Falls residents
displaced by fire
RI Red Cross volunteers responded to a fire at a triple-decker home at 10 Fletcher Street in Central
Falls last evening. A total of 15 people – 12 adults and 3 children – required Red Cross emergency food and shelter assistance.
The Red Cross of Rhode Island typically spends $1,000 per family of four that it assists. All Red Cross assistance is free,
thanks to contributions from individuals and organizations. The Red Cross is not a government agency and relies on private donations to provide emergency assistance to Rhode Islanders in crisis.
