Red Cross Coordinating Transport of 50 Valentine's Day Gift Boxes, Made By Local Children, to Rhode Island Soldiers in Southwest Asia

WHAT: The American Red Cross of Rhode Island is coordinating the distribution of 50 Valentine's Day goodie boxes, prepared by children at the Armed Services YMCA in Newport, to local Air National Guard troops, who are deployed in Southwest Asia.

WHO: Children who made the boxes, will present them to a Rhode Island Air National Guard representative, who will administer the transport of the boxes to Rhode Island Guard members who are stationed overseas.

WHEN: Friday, February 8, 2002 at 10:30am

WHERE: Armed Services YMCA
           1297 Bushnell Street
             Newport (next to, but not on, Naval Base)
