American Red Cross Assisting 16 Early Morning Fire Victims -- Residents of 276 Union Ave. in Providence Meeting With Caseworkers

The American Red Cross of Rhode Island responded to an early morning fire today at 276 Union Avenue in South Providence today. Sixteen people --- 7 adults and 9 children were evacuated from the three-family structure.

The American Red Cross provided breakfast for the families today and caseworkers are now meeting with the families to set-up emergency services, such as food, clothing and shelter.

All American Red Cross disaster assistance is free. To make a donation to benefit fire victims in Rhode Island, make your check payable to the Rhode Island Red Cross Fire Victims Fund or call the Red Cross at 401.831.7700 ext. 111 to make a secure credit card contribution.
