Dear Prospective Volunteer,

Welcome! Thank you so much for your interest in volunteering for the American Red Cross of Rhode Island. The Red Cross is well supported by individuals like you who give generously their time, skills and resources to help us help others. We appreciate you taking the step to join us in our humanitarian mission to help prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.

The Red Cross of Rhode Island values volunteers from all backgrounds. We understand that volunteers are the backbone for our operation and service delivery and that each person contributes his or her own unique skills. Thus, we make every effort to train and support our volunteers, having the utmost respect for our staff and volunteer partnership.

There are more than 1,000 active volunteers working day and night throughout the state of Rhode Island. Do you want to volunteer, but not sure how to get started? There is no shortage of ways you can make a difference in the lives of people who need it most.

Volunteers play a vital role in fulfilling the Red Cross mission: preparedness, prevention, and response to emergencies. No matter your interests, skills or schedule, you can make a significant contribution to your community.

Thank You,

Jason A. Campagnone
