The American Red Cross will now accept contributions designated for victims of the February 27 earthquake which severely damaged the South American nation of Chile.
Donations can be sent by texting the word “CHILE” to 90999 for a $10 gift. Gifts can also be made online at redcross.org or by calling 1-800-RED CROSS toll-free. Donations can be made in Spanish by calling 1-800-257-7575.
The American Red Cross waited to accept Chile-designated donations until more was known about the need and there was a specific request for help for the earthquake survivors. |
